‘In 2017, Jack & Cheryl marketed at the Euroa Saleyards 18 head of steer vealers (up to 11 months of age) bred from Le Martres genetics. Off the cow, the calves weighed an average of 449 kg LWT and sold for an average of $1,370+GST per head – topping the market with 3000 head of cattle selling on the day. ‘In Autumn 2017, Gordon & Lyn marketed at Barnawatha NLXS through John Lang of ‘Paull & Scollard’ 17 head of mixed sex vealers (up to 10 months of age) bred from Le Martres genetics. Off the cow, the heaviest steer calves weighed an average of 515 kg LWT and sold for $3.38/kg realising $1,741.73+GST per head.
